  • Phoenix Design is climate neutral

    Phoenix Design is climate neutral

We are climate-neutral: this means that we offset the CO2 emissions of our company. This is tested and certified by ClimatePartner.

    1.    Determination of the CO2 emissions

ClimatePartner has collected the relevant CO2 emission sources from Phoenix Design and supports us in updating our balance sheet annually, so that we can further avoid and reduce CO2.

    2.    Compensation of CO2 emissions through a climate protection project

By supporting the forest protection project "April Salumei" in Papua New Guinea, we compensate for greenhouse gases. All ClimatePartner projects are certified according to the highest international standards and independent third parties verify that the measures are implemented locally.

    3.    Trace CO2 compensation

The ClimatePartner process with an order-related ID number makes climate neutrality transparent and traceable:

    >>> Here you will find the certificate of our climate neutrality with information on how much CO2 has been offset and which climate protection project we support.

AXOR MyEdition competition > Phoenix Design part of the jury

Managing Partner Andreas Diefenbach on the jury of the AXOR MyEdition competition evaluates the entries for the individual design of the surface of the fitting designed by Phoenix Design.

As part of the "AXOR MyEdition" competition, AXOR offers participants the chance to individually design the finish of a fitting, thus following the trend towards individualizing the bathroom. With the question "What story can you tell?" AXOR invites participants to bring their personal story to the faucet panel. The materials available for this include nappa leather, mirror glass, walnut or white Lasa marble.

Managing Partner Andreas Diefenbach is part of the four-member jury and, along with Anke Sohn, Head of Global Brand Marketing AXOR, Stefan Hoske, AXOR Senior Consultant Architecture and Design and Franziska von Schumann, Member of the Stylepark Board, will judge the finish of the fitting designed by Phoenix Design.

    Mobile places: the third space

In order to meet the growing need for flexibility, a rethink is necessary: the journey must become the destination, traffic areas and means of transport must become a space that can be used in a variety of ways. The Phoenix Academy concept VESSEL by Konstantin Wolf provides an approach to situation-adaptable, mobile space in the hybrid areas of urban coastal regions. An innovative perspective on the multifaceted issue of mobility.

  • We reduce our CO2 footprint

    We reduce our CO2 footprint

Regardless of our climate neutrality, we continue to reduce our CO2 footprint. From December 1, 2020, Phoenix Design will purchase 100% green electricity from LichtBlick for its German studios.

"We as Phoenix Design are shaping the future every day. Our future is threatened more than ever by the climate crisis. It is therefore only logical that we address the issue at all levels - including as an organisation". Felix Mattes, Design Business Manager at Phoenix Design.

Phoenix Design has been officially climate neutral since 2019 and compensates its greenhouse gas emissions through projects - certified by Climate Partners.

In parallel, Phoenix Design is working on further reducing its CO2 footprint. The purchase of green electricity is an important step on the way to a sustainable company, as the use of renewable energy sources results in significantly lower direct and indirect greenhouse gas emissions.

Culture is the sum of its rituals – here and nunc.

Phoenix Design and hansgrohe – a success story

Phoenix Design and hansgrohe – an exemplary partnership for 33 years! The new online format of the Design Center Baden-Württemberg "Success Factor Design - Success Stories" shows exemplary and successful cooperations between design agencies and SMEs from Baden-Württemberg.

Of course, the long-standing partnership between Phoenix Design and hansgrohe cannot be missed! The cooperation is as old as Phoenix Design itself - 33 years. Hansgrohe was the first customer and has remained so to this day, happy about the fresh wind that Phoenix brings to the company as an external agency, according to Jan Heisterhagen, Vice President Product Management at Hansgrohe. Andreas Diefenbach, Managing Partner of Phoenix Design, also affirms how important a constant partnership is for the development of a common mindset and even speaks of a common "battle or community of interests". This is also demonstrated, for example, by the fact that Phoenix Design - influenced by Hansgrohe - has dedicated itself to water as a resource.
