Senior Design Researcher


As Senior Design Researcher you are a seasoned veteran of qualitative research. You are great with people and have an eery sixth-sense for tacit desires, and are expert at spotting insights. Working at the intersection of research and strategy, you are routined in conceiving and coordinating creative research plans, and fully understand how to make them work for clients. Feeling right at home in innovation projects, you are comfortable taking on a broad range of different project-roles, and are confident in both, collaborating in or leading interdisciplinary projects.

  • design, and conduct insights and innovation workshops with colleagues and clients
  • build narratives and presentations that wow clients
  • lead the research part across different projects and actively engage in the whole design process
  • define research scope & framework for each project, flexibly use different methodologies to conduct research, such as user interviews, usability tests and other research activities
  • synthesise research findings into actionable design insights and collaborate with strategists and designers throughout design process
  • 3+ years of total research-experience in design-, innovation-, strategy- and/or branding-related fields.
  • expert at qualitative research and outstanding capability to identify, articulate and present insights
  • strong critical thinking, outstanding creativity and excellent storytelling skills
  • experience in coaching and guiding clients in the design process
  • ability to frame, design, plan, articulate and lead interdisciplinary
  • strong curiosity & passion for life, sensitive to trends in different areas, both inside and outside of design
  • self-directed, yet highly-cooperative and flexible workstyle within the team, help promote an inspiring environment for the team
  • very good verbal and written language skills in both Chinese and English; German skills would be beneficial
