As a Senior Industrial Designer, you will shape the creative direction of complex projects and lead clients from early vision to refined design outcomes. You combine strong art direction, exceptional form exploration ability, and confident client leadership to create products that are both meaningful and beautiful. Our Industrial Design practice is internationally recognised, and you will play a key role in shaping its creative impact in China.
- lead the creative direction and execution of complex interdisciplinary client projects
- drive form exploration and define coherent design languages
- act as a key client lead, building trust and guiding decision-making
- conduct qualitative and desk research to identify relevant insights
- create clear design narratives, concepts, and strategic frameworks
- plan and facilitate workshops with clients and internal teams
- develop people-centered concepts and turn them into refined design solutions
- build and deliver compelling presentations that align and convince clients
- participate in design critiques to continuously elevate craft and thinking.
- 5+ years of industry work experience as an industrial designer in an international setting.
- strong capability in art direction and form exploration, with a clear sense for aesthetics, proportion, and design language.
- proven client leadership experience, including leading meetings, workshops, and presentations.
- convincing critical thinking, outstanding creativity and excellent presentation skills.
- proven ability to design, plan, articulate and lead complex interdisciplinary projects with method and minimal supervision
- keen sense for detail and outstanding craft skills, especially in hand-sketching, Adobe Creative Cloud, Rhino or SolidWorks, KeyShot, and Blenderor Cinema 4D.
- confident coverage of topics beyond your core discipline: e.g. CMF, research, brand-strategy, UX/UI.
- native-level Chinese (Mandarin) and fluent English, spoken and written (essential).
- natural presence, emotional intelligence, and maturity; people leadership experience is a plus.
